— Switch from TeamSnap

TeamSnap's own ToS:
“We do not issue refunds.”

Hard no-refund clause. Auto-renewing subscriptions. Ads in the parent app with a $24/year per-device upcharge to remove them. Trustpilot rates the parent experience 1.2 out of 5 across 689 reviews. Your parents aren't imagining it.

Forced migration · recently completed

The TeamSnap ONE migration broke parent multi-team views.

TeamSnap forced its 2024 migration to TeamSnap ONE on existing customers. Parents and coaches with kids on multiple teams now report needing both apps installed to see all their teams — a regression documented across Google Play 1-star reviews. Migrations under PE-owned platforms tend to ship on schedule, not on quality.

You're going to migrate either way. Switch once, not twice. Land on a platform that isn't a migration project on someone else's roadmap.

— The math

What you're actually paying.
Including the line items they don't advertise.

Headline price isn't take rate. Once you stack subscription, per-transaction, per-registrant, dispute, and minimum-volume fees, the real number lands here.

— On TeamSnap

Subscription + 3% credit card + $5 ACH cap + $24/yr per-device ad-removal

Effective take ≈ ~4–5% of GMV

  • Hard no-refund clause in ToS — “We do not issue refunds…for any reason”
  • Auto-renewing annual subscriptions; no mid-term cancellation
  • $24/year per-device upcharge to remove ads from the parent app
  • Per-transaction fees on registrations on top of the subscription

+ On EZ Event Registration

$49/mo + 1.5% per transaction

Effective take ≈ ~1.6%

  • No subscription minimums or volume penalties
  • Refundable platform fees on refunded registrations
  • Stripe Connect v2 marketplace payouts — funds go to you
  • No per-registrant uplifts, no dispute fees, no captive rules

— At your scale

For a club doing $500K in registrations,

  • TeamSnap's own contract says no refunds — for any reason

TeamSnap's Terms of Service include a hard no-refund clause: “We do not issue refunds…for any reason.” Combined with auto-renewal and no mid-term cancellation, this produces hundreds of BBB billing complaints every year.

Auto-renewed me without notice and refused to refund a single dollar even though we never used the platform that season.

  • Ads in the parent app — with a paywall to remove them

TeamSnap's mobile app shows ads to parents inside their kid's team page. Removing them costs $24/year per device. TeamSnap's own help docs admit “subscription fees only cover about half” of operating costs — the other half is parent attention, sold to advertisers.

I'm paying for the team subscription AND watching ads in my own kid's app. Then they want $24 a year to turn the ads off. On every device.

  • TeamSnap ONE migration broke multi-team parent views

The forced 2024 migration to TeamSnap ONE produced regressions parents are still complaining about. Coaches with kids on multiple teams now need both apps installed to see all their teams.

After the ONE migration, half my teams disappeared. Support says I have to keep the old app installed too. This is a step backward.

— How EZ Event Registration is different

Not a feature list.
A different architecture.

These aren't features TeamSnap could add next sprint. They require schema-level, processor-level, and ownership-level choices baked in from day one.

  1. / 01

Hard no-refund clause and auto-renewal locked into the contract

Month-to-month. Cancel any time. Platform fees refundable on refunded registrations. The ToS says what it says because we don't need to hide behind it.

  2. / 02

Ads in the parent app, with $24/yr/device removal upcharge

No ads. Ever. Parent UX is a product surface, not an inventory unit.

  3. / 03

Mobile UX regressed during the TeamSnap ONE migration

PWA-grade mobile experience built into the modern Next.js 16 stack from day one.

  4. / 04

PE-owned (Waud Capital, since April 2021); roadmap serves the LP returns clock

Independent, founder-led. Roadmap serves clubs, not a holding period.
